The River Valley Scenic Drive stretches from the northern border at Quebec to Edmundston, featuring the New Brunswick Botanical Garden and Railroad Interpretation Center. The drive continues southward to the magnificent Grand Falls Gorge, and runs parallel with the US state of Maine throughout southern New Brunswick, to the majestic Bay of Fundy.
This area is most famous for the legendary St. John River, it’s many historical and cultural sites, and the numerous covered bridges found along the scenic drive.
Accommodations are plentiful and range from resorts, hotels & motels, cottages & chalets to intimate bed & breakfasts. There are also plentiful private and provincial campgrounds that can accommodate both tenting and RVs.
The River Valley Scenic Drive joins:
the Appalachian Range Route at Perth-Andover
the Miramichi River Route at Fredericton
the Fundy Coastal Drive at Saint John
