This 1942 WLC 45 cu.in. Harley-Davidson Flathead arrives at Pier 21 in Halifax, Nova Scotia in the late 1940’s, as World War II came to an end and our brave troops sailed back across the Atlantic to return home.
Original painting done in oils.
Reproductions created using the Gilcee process. In giclee printing, no screen or other mechanical devices are used and therefore there is no visible dot screen pattern. The image has all the tonalities and hues of the original painting.
The gilcee process employed by the artist, uses only the finest materials available, specially designed to be waterproof and resist fading for 200 years.
Each print is an accurate reproduction of the original oil painting, examined, hand numbered and signed by the artist, Harold Nesbitt; co-publisher of the multi-awarding winning Motorcycle Tour Guide Nova Scotia.
Numbered prints are available, ready for framing on both fine paper and canvas.
